Vallen is a demon who tricks mortals by taking an angel-like appearance: his goal is to steal people’s prized possessions (usually gold, jewelry, anything pricey and shiny that he finds pretty).
Vallen’s "angel" appearance looks so trustworthy and enchanting that all she has to do in order for people to land her their possessions is ask. But when a mortal doesn’t seem to cooperate, his last resort is to show herself in his true form and frighten them, until they have no choice but to give him everything they own… and eventually get devoured by the beast.

It is also pretty common for some mortals to fall in love with Vallen once she had enchanted them with her angel disguise… But since the demon couldn’t care less about their feelings, he would often leave the person heartbroken and confused once he’s achieved his goal to steal their things, before leaving without a trace.
